
The year we moved in here, I planted about 10 dahlia bulbs/roots/whatever those are. They have easily taken over a full half of a planting bed, and the poor peonies are being run over. They are beautiful, and I love them, but there's got to be a way to keep them under control. I cut the flowers all the time, and give them away whenever possible (Janet, you better come over and get some!), but I just can't keep up! I think a little research and judicious digging-up may be in order...

I also have some and they just shoot up each year and take over the display. Unfortunately this year has been uber windy and the petals just get blown off after a couple of days.
One of the best flowers IMO.
